What the Muhurat Finder Does

Most online “shubh muhurat 2026” tools return a single star rating and ask you to trust it. CelestKin’s finder shows its working. You pick the kind of event — starting a business, moving into a home, a wedding, travel and more — and a range of dates up to two years long. For each day in the range it works out the five limbs of panchang — the tithi (lunar day), the nakshatra of the Moon, the yoga (Sun–Moon combination), the karana (half-tithi), and the vara (weekday planetary lord) — and scores the day by which of those the muhurat tradition treats as supportive for that event, and which it treats as a reason to wait.

It returns a shortlist of no more than seven days — up to four of the best, a middling one for contrast when there is one, and up to two to avoid — each with the reasons behind its score, so you can see why a day ranks where it does. In the app it also lists the favourable hours inside each of those days, worked out for the place saved on the profile you choose. If you already have a week in mind, give it that week, and it will show which of those days score best and which score worst.

It is, deliberately, a reflection tool. A supportive muhurat cannot rescue a plan that is not ready. A challenging muhurat cannot undo work that is. What the panchang can do is surface a vocabulary for thinking about timing with care — and sometimes, just sometimes, the act of slowing down to check the date is the most valuable thing the tradition gives you.
