What is Human Design?
Human Design is a late-twentieth-century synthesis that combines elements of Western astrology, the I Ching, the Hindu chakra system, and Kabbalah into a single body graph. It outputs a Type, a Strategy, and an Authority that are meant as decision-making prompts, not personality labels.
What are the five Human Design types?
Manifestor (initiates), Generator (responds with sustained energy), Manifesting Generator (a hybrid of the two), Projector (guides and waits for invitation), and Reflector (mirrors the environment). The type is determined by which energy centers in your bodygraph are defined and how they connect.
What is a Human Design profile?
Your profile is two numbers between 1 and 6, derived from the line positions of your Personality Sun and Design Sun. For example, a 3/5 profile is described as the Martyr-Heretic — someone who learns through trial-and-error and is often projected upon by others. The profile is the most concrete part of a Human Design reading.
Do I need my exact birth time for Human Design?
Yes. Human Design relies on two charts — one cast at birth (Personality) and one cast roughly three months before birth (Design). Gate and line positions shift by the hour, so even a fifteen-minute error can change the profile or type. If you do not know your exact birth time, treat the output as approximate.
